Speaker: Greg Flisram, interim president and CEO of the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City
Join us for an informed discussion on Opportunity Zones in Kansas City with Greg Flisram, the interim president and CEO of the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City (EDCKC). His organization is responsible for the creation of 3,500 new Kansas City, Missouri jobs (on average) and over $1 billion of capital investment per year. Prior to joining EDCKC, Greg was the development director for the City of Green Bay, Wisconsin where he led that city’s successful downtown riverfront redevelopment efforts and advised the Green Bay Packers on the development of the sports and entertainment-focused “Titletown District” adjacent to Lambeau Field. Before transitioning to the public sector in 2010, Greg worked for many years as a redevelopment and economic development consultant/planner to cities throughout the United States. He has penned numerous articles on urbanism and planning-related topics that have appeared in national publications such as Planning Magazine, Urban Land, and Metropolis.com. Lately, Greg has led EDCKC’s redevelopment strategy for Blue Valley and the greater east side of KCMO.
WeWork is committed to growing the Downtown community. This December, WeWork will be kickstarting the most dynamic office project in downtown KC to date, Lightwell. As a compliment to WeWork Corrigan Station, our offices in Lightwell will feature private suites that can accommodate individual users all the way up to 100+ employees.
As a Downtowner, we would like to give you access to an exclusive, privately guided tour as a way to connect with those we know will be a big part of helping us grow this community. Register for your private tour HERE. In addition, we'll be offering free trial days as well as a chance to win a private office suite at the luncheon. So don't miss this month's event!
