Joe Perry currently serves as President of the Lee’s Summit Economic Development Council (LSEDC), where he leads strategic initiatives to foster business growth, workforce development, and public-private collaboration. Since stepping into the role in April 2025, Joe has brought a wealth of experience from his 14-year tenure as Vice President of Real Estate & Development at Port KC, where he spearheaded over 70 transformative projects, including the $800 million Berkley Riverfront development.

A longtime advocate for community-driven development, Joe’s return to Lee’s Summit marks a homecoming an a renewed commitment to the city’s dynamic growth. Under his guidance, LSEDC is celebrating it’s 40th anniversary with a revitalized mission and expanded patnerships across government, education, and industry. Joe’s deep roots in the region and proven track record in economic development make him a visionary leader poised to shape Lee’s Summit’s future.
