LIBRARY PARKING INSTRUCTIONS
The Central Library is changing the way we validate parking. The information below should help explain what KC Downtowners attendees need to do to continue to receive free garage parking.
With Metropolis Parking, you can drive into the Library Garage, validate in the Library with your smartphone, and drive out when you’re done – no keeping track of a parking ticket!
Know Before You Go!
Visit app.metropolis.io/join or download the Metropolis iOS app.
Enter your mobile number to sign up or sign in.
Connect your vehicle to your account by entering your license plate number.
Add your preferred payment method
You’re all set!
Oops, I didn’t sign up before arriving…
Don’t worry, the Library Garage will have plenty of posters with a sign-up QR code and instructions. As soon as you park, you can scan that code, enter your license plate number and payment method to complete the sign-up. Make sure to scan the correct validation inside the Library!
Validating your parking in the Library.
Come to the event location to receive parking validation. Scan the validation QR code at the event’s registration table to begin the validation process. Do NOT scan any other validation QR code since validation can only be applied once.
If you already have a Metropolis account, the validation will automatically apply to your active visit. If you do not have a Metropolis account, you must create one before the validation can be utilized. Please note that you will need your license plate number in order to create an account. Upon successful account creation, the validation will automatically apply to the active visit. Once the validation is applied, you can simply drive out! If a balance remains after the applied validation, the outstanding amount will be charged to your payment method on file; you will see the validation applied on your receipt.
If anyone is unable to scan a QR code or does not want to sign up, they need to bring in their license plate number and speak with a staff member to help receive validation. We cannot give validation without a license plate number.
